Understanding how to Prevail in Prayers for power

Introduction:
? The destiny of every child of God is predetermined – Jer 1:5, Rom 8:29-30 psalms 139:16
? This predetermined destiny must be known and walked in for one to say he or she has fulfilled destiny – 2 Tim 4:7-8
? But to fulfil destiny requires power and this power is generated through the altar of fasting and prayer – Luke 4:1-2, Luke4:14-15 
? Hence in the second week of this appointed fast we are looking at understanding how to prevail in prayers for power – Is. 66:7-8
 

Why do I need power?
- I need power for things to work for me this year. Luke 24:49
- Without power things don’t work.

To prevail in prayers for power:
? We must engage pure heart and clear conscience – Prov 15:8 , 29 , Isa 59:1-2
? That was the approach of Nehemiah – Neh 1:1-11
? We must be specific – 1 Kgs 3:5-9
? Bartimaeus had to be specific to prevail – Mark 10:46-52
