Introduction:
One of the signs of intelligence is the ability to recognise yourself in a mirror i.e self awareness, meta-cognition .
man is an intelligent creature and therefore has the highest capacity for self awareness.
self-awareness is one of the highest forms of intelligent with the potential to unlock every possible treasure.
God’s word is the spiritual mirror that reveals who we are in God’s perspective - Jer 29:11/ Is 14:24/ Jam 1:22-25
God’s word is the mirror of life – Jam 2:21-25
God’s word is spiritual water from which face we discover what we look like - Prov 27:19/ Is. 55:1/11
The word shows us who we are in Christ – Matt 11:11/ Matt 12:42/ Jn 17:18.
God's word shows us who us our former state, current/vital state, our legal state and our 'progressive state'
John the Baptist found who he was in scriptures – Jn 1:19-30/Is 40:1-3
Jesus Christ also located His mission from scriptures –Lk 4:17-18/Is 61:1-2
God’s word shows us what we carry – Php 2:13/Col 1:27/ Col 2:10
What we can do – Php 4:13/ Jn 14:12
And how to do them – Is 48:17/Jer 6:16-17/ Heb 6:12
Truly God’s word is pregnant with God’s vision for the redeemed – Is 29:11-12
For instance, every child of God is redeemed:
An Eagle- called to scale unusual heights
- Deut 32:9-14 (Gal 3:29 / Rm 2:28-29)
A Sun – source of life for all living
- The plant needs sun for food and the animals needs the plants for breath
- Mal 4:1-2/ Ps 84:11 (Ps 87:5-7)
Conclusion: Every child of God is empowered to do what Christ did, and even greater – Eph 4:13/ Jn14:12
