The Source of Divine Wisdom
Just as:
The source of fish is water
The source of trees is the soil
The source of divine wisdom is not books or school — it is God Himself.

The Word of God: Our True Source of Wisdom
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” — Proverbs 1:7
God’s Word is not just information — it transforms, refines, and imparts divine wisdom to the soul:
“Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies... I meditate on your statutes.”
— Psalm 119:98–99
“The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.”
— Psalm 19:7

Insight: You don’t need a PhD to walk in wisdom. Even the educated can act foolishly — like ignoring cigarette warnings. True wisdom is revealed, not simply researched.
Knowledge vs. Wisdom
Knowledge = Gaining facts

Wisdom = Applying truth in life
God doesn’t just want you to know — He wants you to live wisely.
Prayer: The Gateway to Divine Insight
“Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.” — Psalm 119:18

David prayed this because he knew:
Even deep devotion doesn’t guarantee understanding.
We need God’s help to remove spiritual blindness.
True understanding goes beyond intellect — it’s spiritually revealed.

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
— Jeremiah 33:3
Even in crisis (as Jeremiah was imprisoned), God invites us to ask — because only He holds the answers we need.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God... and it will be given.” — James 1:5
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

James wrote these words to believers facing trials. He knew that life’s toughest seasons require heaven’s insight.
Applying God’s Wisdom in Daily Life
God’s Word and prayer are like tools in a farmer’s hand — they help us harvest wisdom in real life.
“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” — Matthew 7:24–25
“Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding.” — Deuteronomy 4:5–6
Insight: Wisdom is not just knowing the Scriptures — it’s living them.
Living Wisely in Everyday Activities (IADLs)

Living in Wisdom: A Lifestyle of Obedience

“Everyone who hears... and puts them into practice…” — Matthew 7:24–25

Why God’s Wisdom Is Better Than Human Plans:
It’s Higher Than Our Understanding
“The foolishness of God is wiser than men.” — 1 Corinthians 1:25

It’s Steady and Reliable
Human plans can fail — God’s guidance never does.
It Leads to Salvation and Success
It Offers Guidance and Protection

“I am the Lord... who teaches you what is best...” — Isaiah 48:17

Wisdom in Business and Career

Obedience brought abundance in the miraculous catches.
— Luke 5:1–9; John 21:5–6
