INTRODUCTION:
The Holy Ghost is God in the midst of men in the dispensation we are in. John 16:7
One of His functions on the earth is to give helps to the believer. His helps is accessible to everyone whosoever will. In this season where the helps of man is failing it’s only the helps of God that can secure humanity and we us His children. 2chro 32:7-8
- Life in the kingdom is destined to fail without the help of God. Ps 60:11-12
- This help is given by God the Holy Spirit. John 16:7
- One of the ways the Holy Spirit helps the believer is to empower him to preach the gospel. LK 24:46-49, Act 1:8
WHY DO I NEED TO PREACH THE GOSPEL
1. Because preaching was the major thing Jesus did when he came to earth. MK 1:14-15,Matt 4:23, LK 4:18-19, John 17:18
2. Because Preaching is what the apostles also were doing. LK9:1-2, 1 cor 9:16 , heb 6:12
3. Because preaching is the work Jesus has assigned for me. MK 16:15 ,
HOW DOES THE HOLY GHOST HELP US IN PREACHING THE GOSPEL
1. He grant us the boldness to preach the Gospel. Act 4:29-31,act 14:3
2. He also grant us the utterance to speak the mystery of Christ. Col 4:3
3. He again grant us the word to speak for impact. Matt 10:19-20, Isa 50:4
5. He also manifest His power through us in healings, miracles and gifts of the spirit. Heb 2:1-4 , 1 cor 2:1-5
6. He helps us to pray for salvation and the plantedness of souls. Gal 4:19, Rom 8:26-27
7. He convicts of sin and brings salvation. Act 2:37-41,
8. He helps us to thank God well in our kingdom journey. 1 cor 14:15-17
BENEFITS OF PREACHING THE GOSPEL
1. It brings salvation of souls. Act 2:37-41
2. It brings healing and deliverance. Matt 4:23-24
3. It brings Joy to heaven. Lk 15:7
4. The preacher is always joyful. Lk 10:1,17
