Introduction
God’s commandments are ordained for our profiting ( 2Tim 3:16-17, 1Jn 5:3)

Fasting is commanded for specific benefits as outlined in Is 58:6-12 

Believers must beware of selling their birthright to their belly like Esau
- Gen 25:21-27/29-34 (Heb 12:16) - Matt 4:4 (Pro 6:27) - 1Cor 6:12-14 (13)

You must not allow your belly to become your God- Php3:19 

Profitable Approach to Fasting 
Engage in Kingdom promotion prayers - Matt 6:6-10, Matt 6:33 

Prepare to engage your heart in seeking the Lord - Pro16:1/ Jer 30:21/ Jer 29:13/2Chr 27:6 

We must come thanking, praising and worshipping and hallowing His name 
- Ps 100:4 / Matt 6:6-9 

We must come boldly and not beggarly (Heb 4:16 / Pro 28:1 (Act 14:3)  

Blessedness of Fasting includes:
Facilitates Empowerment
- Breaking every Yoke - Is 58:6 /Lk 4:14-37
Provokes Outbreak of Revelations - Is 58:8, 10 / 2Cor 4:4
