INTRODUCTION:
The Holy Ghost is God in the midst of men in the dispensation we are in. John 16:7
One of His functions on the earth is to give helps to the believer. His helps is accessible to everyone whosoever will. In this season where the helps of man is failing it’s only the helps of God that can secure humanity and we us His children. 2chro 32:7-8
Hence in this month we are sailing on the teaching series HOLY GHOST MY HELPER.
HOLY GHOST MY HELPER PT 2
Life in the kingdom is destined to fail without the help of God. Ps 60:11-12
This help is given by God the Holy Spirit. John 16:7
One of the ways the Holy Spirit helps us is by aiding us to offer our lives as living sacrifices. Rom 12:1
He does this by coming upon us the spirit of sacrifice.
WHY DO I NEED THE SPIRIT OF SPIRIT OF SACRIFICE:
Because that is the path Jesus took when He was on earth. Phi 2:5-11, Matt 4:19
It also the pathway to glory . John 10:18
A man of sacrifice is a man in covenant with God.. Ps 50:5
Sacrifice also releases power. 1 cor 1:18
WHAT IS THE SPIRIT OF SACRIFICE:
It is the Spirit that enables a man to lay his life down so as to live and walk in the path way of glory. John 10:18
It is the spirit that enables a man to live under necessity. .1 cor 9:15-16 , mk 8:34
It is the spirit that enables one to accept a call unto death. 2 cor 1:9, 1 cor 15:23
It is the spirit that enables a Man to stretch beyond the limit in his commitment and service. LK12:29
CHARACTERISTICLS OF SACRIFICE:
It enables you to stand alone in the pursuit of Christ .Gen 22:5
It enables you to love God to death. Sos 8:6
It enables you to feel no pain nor cost. . lk 23:28
It enables you to serve with Joy , heb 12:2 , Ps 40:8
It enables you to render your stewardship as service. . Gen 22:5
HOW DOES ONE SACRIFICE
Deny yourself. MK 8:34, Phi 2:5-7
Take up your cross. Mk8:34 , Phi 2:8
Follow the path of Jesus Christ. Matt 4:19
